The red base is what makes me stop at this tree.
This is closer to the tree outline I'd choose than the narrow spiral. I like the layers of green branches and the star at the top. The red base gives the green a clear place to stop, which works for me visually. I'd keep the star yellow rather than make everything red and green. If I were comparing kits, I'd want a photo that shows the branch edges clearly, because that's the detail that makes this version interesting to me.
I like the yellow at the very top. I'd keep it as the only detail in that color.
Green tree, red base, simple choice for me.
